Advertisement For The Position Of Chief Security Officer

Application is invited from suitably qualified applicants for the position of Chief Security Officer. 

The Chief Security Officer shall among others;

• Exercise control over the Guards and all Security Personnel:
• Ensure discipline among Security Staff, Supervise and train Security Staff;
• Keep the security situation under constant review for the safety and protection
• of the entire University community; and
• Advise Management of the security situation and logistic needs. 

Qualification and Experience

Applicant must:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in relevant subject area
• Have served as a Principal Security, officer in the University or comparable trade in a similar institution/organization for at least six years OR
• Have served in the officer cadre in the Armed Forces, Police, or any major security service and must have held security-related schedule(s) for at least fifteen (15) years.
• Must have an impeccable record of service 

Condition of Appointment 

The successful applicant will initially be on Contract Appointment and upon satisfactory performance be converted to permanent staff status.
