Programme Description: The main aim of the BTech in Entrepreneurship with Finance Programme is to offer students requisite knowledge, skills, and qualities necessary to conceive, devise, setup, and lead new innovative, small and medium scale, and high-tech enterprises and grow them into stable business organizations. Besides, the programme will equip students to recognize and explore new business opportunities in existing businesses and grow them to become global giant.
Admission Entry Requirements
Minimum qualifications for admission into the programme
SSSCE/WASSCE APPLICANTS:
SSSCE Holders
Grade D or better in three (3) core subjects (English Language Mathematics (core), integrated science or social studies) and three (3) elective subjects
WASSCE Holders
Grade C6 or better in three (3) core subjects (English, Mathematics (core), integrated science or social studies) and three (3) elective subjects.
ADVANCED LEVEL CERTIFICATE (GCE ‘A’-LEVEL) APPLICANTS:
Five (5) Credits (Grade 6) or better at the GCE ‘O’ Level, including English Language and Mathematics
Passes in three (3) ‘A’ Level subjects (at least, one of the passes should be grade D).
HND APPLICANTS
HND holders with a minimum of second class lower will be admitted to level 300.
DIPLOMA APPLICANTS
Diploma holders with a minimum of second class lower will be admitted to level 200.
MATURE APPLICANTS
The basic requirement for admission is 5 credits at the GCE ‘O’-Level, including English and mathematics, or credit passes in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, and three Elective subjects at the SSSCE/WASSCE level.
Candidates should be at least 25 years at the time of application.
Candidates must pass a qualifying examination conducted by the Institute which shall form the basis of a short-listing of candidates.
Candidates must pass an interview.
The applicant must show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date which is at least 5 years old at the time of application.
The applicant must provide introductory letter from employer or show any other proof of employment.

Graduate into their businesses (self-employment).

The financial aspects prepare students to work as financial officers in institutions and other corporate bodies. The upsurge in the establishment of savings and loans and other financial institutions have created the need for qualified professionals to access the viabilities of businesses and projects for which funds are sought from these institutions.
