The Centre for Entrepreneurship Research in Africa is a recognized Centre at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development of Kumasi Polytechnic. It seeks to encourage research in all aspects of entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity and enterprise development.
The center’s research interests include entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial firm growth, entrepreneurial processes, high potential start-ups, entrepreneurship research methods, gender and entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial knowledge management, entrepreneurial networks and clusters, entrepreneurial leadership, new venture risk recognition and risk mitigation strategies.
VISION
To be a Centre of Excellence in entrepreneurship research in order to be the focal point for research-based knowledge in entrepreneurship and innovation in Africa.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of the Centre is to promote entrepreneurship research in Africa and contribute to economic growth and competitiveness, poverty reduction and social wellbeing.
- Promote entrepreneurial research in Africa.
- Contribute/enhance and expand knowledge on entrepreneurship by organizing and providing resources for research on entrepreneurship in Africa.
- Create and promote linkages and collaborations between academia, industry and community for entrepreneurial development
- Promote and develop entrepreneurship education in Africa.
