Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has secured a resounding victory in the 2023 "What Do You Know?" Statistical Knowledge Contest (SKC). The contest organised by the Ghana Statistical Service in commemoration of the 2023 African Statistics Day celebrations saw Mr. Gerald Ohene Agyekum, a final year Health Statistics student of KsTU, winning the contest.
Competing against six formidable Technical Universities in the southern zone of Ghana including Takoradi Technical University, Accra Technical University, Cape Coast Technical University, Koforidua Technical University, Ho Technical University and Sunyani Technical University, KsTU emerged as the winner with an impressive 20 points.

Mr. Gerald Ohene Agyekum's outstanding performance throughout the competition earned him the coveted first place position, along with a substantial cash prize and other valuable rewards. His triumph serves as a testament to the rigorous academic standards upheld by Kumasi Technical University.
The overall competition results showcased KsTU's dominance in statistical knowledge, with Cape Technical University securing the second position with 19 points. The Ho Technical University had the third place with 17 points.
This victory is another feather in the cap of Kumasi Technical University, showcasing the Institution's commitment to academic excellence and its ability to produce students who excel at both national and international levels. This feat also aligns with the University's mission of fostering a culture of innovation, critical thinking and knowledge dissemination.
